Welcome Uniform Medical Plan and Aetna Public Employees Plan members!
Accomplish Bariatric Nutrition Services is a team of Registered Dietitians and Certified Nutritionists offering weight loss and nutrition education to all Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) and Aetna Public Employees Plan (Aetna PEP) members who are participating in the bariatric surgery program.
Once you have been accepted into the UMP or Aetna PEP bariatric surgery program, your case manager will refer you to Accomplish to take the next step towards approval for surgery. Accomplish is excited to help you complete that next step by aiding you in losing 5% of your body weight. Our dedicated team will also support you post surgery as you achieve your nutritional goals and transition to a new and healthier lifestyle.
With Accomplish you will get 23 pre-scheduled, phone counseling sessions with a Bariatric Nutritionist who specializes in your unique needs. The first 4-6 sessions are usually used to achieve the 5% weight loss requirement*; the remaining 17-19 sessions are scheduled for the 10 month period immediately following surgery. The Accomplish team will work in cooperation with the staff at your Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence to provide a comprehensive program tailored just for you.
Before being approved for surgery, your health plan requires that you work with Accomplish to lose 5% of your total body weight. The cost for the program is $1450, and is due when you begin the program. This cost is not covered by your health plan, and does not count toward your medical insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit. If you do not undergo bariatric surgery, for any reason, your unused phone sessions will be refunded (excluding a $50 administrative fee). No refunds will be offered after you undergo surgery.

* Your initial weight and your weight demonstrating the 5% weight loss must be verified by your physician. The time limit to meet this program requirement is six (6) months from the date you were accepted into the bariatric surgery program. Failure to meet this program requirement will result in you being dropped from the bariatric surgery program. If you are dropped from the program, Accomplish will refund any unused sessions, minus a $50 administrative fee.
